Cert4Sure Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Cert4Sure (the “App”) handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have. In short: Cert4Sure has no accounts, and your study data stays on your device.

1. Who Is Responsible

Cert4Sure is operated by an independent developer: Gerton Dervishaj, Rruga Gjik Kuqali, 1001 Tirane, Albania. Contact: certi4sure@gmail.com.

2. No Account, No Cloud Sync

You do not need to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location. We do not run servers that receive or store your study data.

4. How Local Data Is Protected

Your progress and history are stored in encrypted local storage. The encryption key is kept in your device’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).

5. Encrypted Backup Files

You can export your study data as a backup file protected by a passphrase you choose (Profile → Export my data). You decide where it is saved or shared. We never receive the file or the passphrase and cannot recover a lost passphrase. Importing a backup replaces the study data currently on the device.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies; we never see your payment card details.

To check whether Premium is active and to restore purchases, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc. (a subscription-management service). RevenueCat receives a random, app-specific identifier (not your name or email), the store’s purchase and transaction information, and basic technical data such as app version, operating system, and store country. This is used only to provide and verify your subscription. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

7. No Advertising, Tracking, or Analytics

Cert4Sure shows no ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, does not sell or share personal data, and does not use analytics or crash-reporting services. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.

8. Internet Use

The App works offline. It connects to the internet only for purchases and subscription checks, and when you choose to open an external link (for example the store’s subscription settings or your email app to contact support).

9. Retention and Deletion

Local data stays on your device until you delete it. You can erase your study progress at any time (Profile → Reset Progress), or remove all App data by uninstalling the App. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription — manage that in your App Store or Google Play account. Subscription records held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat are kept under their own retention policies.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data and to object to processing. Because your study data is only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the App. For anything else, contact certi4sure@gmail.com; you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Children

Cert4Sure is a professional exam-preparation app and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. International Processing

Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may process purchase information in the United States or other countries, under safeguards described in their own privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy when the App’s data practices change, and change the effective date above. Material changes will be shown in the App.
